Alberto Tomba entered in the Prologue of the 9th Venezia-Montecarlo with Number 1.

N°1

Alberto Tomba entered in the Prologue of the 9th Venezia-Montecarlo with Number 1.

Skiing legend Alberto Tomba will be part of the crew of the Tornado 50 entered with N.1 in the Prologue of the 9th Venezia Montecarlo.

The Prologue’s number 1 carries a name Italian sport knows by heart: Alberto Tomba. The skiing champion steps aboard the Tornado 50 entered with N.1 in the 9th Venezia-Montecarlo, in a crew made of friends and seafarers.

A cover-page crew

Living the adventure with Tomba are Kristian Ghedina, another legend of speed on snow, Alessandro Correggiari and Daniele Parisi of Tornado Yachts. Also on board, Maurizio Bulleri, a powerboat champion and the face of The Boat Show on Sky: bridging two worlds, skiing and offshore, that share the same idea of the limit.

Spectacle as part of the race

The Prologue isn’t only the clock. Bringing two icons like Tomba and Ghedina to the start, on the N.1 of a yard like Tornado, is the Venezia-Montecarlo’s way of holding sport and storytelling together: the “Dakar of the sea” that packs the quays with crowds at every host port.

The race runs from 20 to 23 July 2023 over three Adriatic legs, from Venice to Rodi Garganico. Every crew on the startlist is in the stories from the Prologue; routes, history and roll of honour on the The Race page.
